2021 is finally here, and we couldn't start this year off without talking about some of the expected industry trends for 2021 in the HVAC industry.

1. COVID-19: how could start off this list without talking about one of the top things on everyone's minds right now? COVID-19 negatively affected our industry in 2020 due to the impact it had on our economy. As for 2021, the entire industry must work together to put greater safety precautions and protocols in place to protect not only our employees and subcontractors, but the industry as a whole.

2. Energy Efficient/Green Everything: in 2021 there will be a major push for energy efficient and green HVAC solutions. Environmental awareness is at an all time high, and more and more consumers are becoming more conscious of their purchases. Our industry needs to focus on providing both energy efficient AND cost efficient HVAC systems throughout 2021.

3. Customization and Personalization: it is no secret, younger consumers want products and services that are customized and personalized to their wants and needs. We are sure that in 2021, we will see an even higher demand for a more personalized and customized HVAC industry. This includes getting to know your consumers deeper, AND enhancing your customer support.

4. Growing Job Force: 2021 is expected to have a continued growth in the HVAC job force. The HVAC Industry outlook even predicts 13% growth through 2028. Make sure you are keeping in touch with technical schools and keeping recruitment for new HVAC techs top of mind during the year.
